New Signs at The Hayes

New Signs at The Hayes

Set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, The Hayes is a popular conference venue and has been hosting Christian conferences since 1911. Spread over a number of different buildings across a spacious site, the venue offers accommodation, a choice of meeting spaces, dining and social areas and picturesque grounds.

Since visitors' accommodation, meeting rooms and social spaces are spread around the site, in an effort to help delegates find their way around quickly and easily, we’ve invested in new wayfinding signage across the centre. Clear, simple and straightforward, these signs will help you to find where you’re going fast.

New signage

With more and more groups and organisations using our venue every year, it’s essential that we continually work to improve the usability of our sites. As well as improving the guest experience, these investments also help to reduce confusion and make the venue more navigable.

As well as replacing older signage of various designs throughout the centre with new modern, and more aesthetically pleasing signs, we’ve spent time looking at how best to direct guests through the site most efficiently, to avoid jams at busy times. These new signs are just one small part of an ongoing programme of updates taking place across all our conference sites.

What else is at The Hayes?

The Hayes conference venue can accommodate up to 400 people and is home to three large rooms that are able to seat around 300 people each. As well as these spaces, The Hayes also boasts around 30 smaller rooms, a licensed bar, sports facilities, a games room and award-winning gardens and grounds.

When delegates aren’t attending presentations, meetings and seminars, there is a chapel for prayer and meditation and outside they’ll find a relaxing prayer labyrinth to explore. This mix of spaces helps to ensure there is plenty of room for everyone to meet, socialise, share ideas and relax during their stay at the venue.

Using The Hayes

The Hayes is used by groups and organisations of all sizes. Thanks to the versatile layout of the site and the good choice of rooms and meeting spaces available, the venue can be set up to meet a wide variety of uses. From small groups arranging an annual get together to large organisations meeting for a national conference, The Hayes is a great venue to consider.

If you’re planning a conference or meeting and are interested in booking The Hayes, or if you just want to find out more about the improvements taking place at the venue, explore our site or get in touch with a member of our team.
