We’re always updating and developing our centres to give guests the best possible experience when they stay with us. One exciting development at High Leigh is the addition of a large awning over the patio outside Yew Tree Hall, our largest conference space.
This bespoke awning has integrated festoon lighting, ensuring a warm glow for guests that allows them to socialise outside even when it’s dark. It’s an ideal waterproof shelter providing fresh air as well as protection from the elements whatever the weather. Along with the benches and a table tennis table, it makes the patio area a perfect location for outdoor dining or just relaxing.
The structure measures 15m by 13m. It was erected in August and has been enjoyed by many guests since. It was brilliant to see it used at the High Leigh Centennial event in September, where numerous Christian leaders gathered to mark a century of Christian conferencing at the estate.
High Leigh’s General Manager Ewen Thomas said: “Long-time guests at High Leigh like Emmanuel Apostolic Church told us how much they loved seeing the new awning up and the difference it makes. Yew Tree Hall is already a popular venue as our largest conference space, and it’s now even better with the new structure extending it into the beautiful outdoors. It’s great for a summer barbecue or for huddling with hot drinks on a cool winter's night. I’m looking forward to seeing more people enjoy the space.”
It was a £15k investment, and just one example of how at the Christian Conference Trust we’re always looking to elevate our spaces to give guests a fantastic experience of community and fellowship.Refurbishments will continue in the winter months. Willow Wing is recarpeted in December, and Yew Tree Hall will receive fresh carpets and walls in February. This month we’re also upgrading the AV in Barclay Hall, replacing the 65-inch screens with 75-inch 4K panels (this is the fourth room to receive these panels), ensuring high-quality tech facilities for guests at High Leigh.
