Why we're ideal for Christian groups

July 2024

Coming away for a conference creates time to make memories, grow closer to God and get some much-needed rest! You’ll have a specific vision of how your retreat will play out and what facilities you’ll need to make it happen. That’s why picking the right venue is important. Here at Christian Conference Trust, we set ourselves apart from other venues. So, here are 4 reasons why we’re ideal for Christian groups…

1. Our Christian environment

One thing that makes us very unique is our Christian environment. As soon as you walk through our doors, you’ll hear worship in meeting rooms, see people praying together in lounges and feel at peace knowing you’re surrounded by fellow believers. This isn’t new for us; we’ve been welcoming Christians at our venues for over 100 years! As a result, we know how to take care of your group. Should you need communion glasses, we have them; looking for an outdoor space to worship in the sunshine, we have it; or need a quiet place for an early morning prayer meeting, it's yours.

2. Rural settings

A conference should feel like an escape from the busyness of life to relax, recalibrate and build relationships. Our centres provide exactly that. The Hayes, Highgate House and High Leigh are all located in rural settings surrounded by countryside. Each venue has beautiful walks and lots of land to explore. There’s nothing more peaceful than being surrounded by God’s creation whilst relaxing with your group on a conference. Our centres are also conveniently close to major motorways, train lines and airports, so travel isn’t an issue.

3. Historic manor houses

Our conference centres aren’t ugly brick buildings; they are elegant manor houses each with their own rich history. They have an abundance of character inside and out. Take, for example, Baronial Hall at Highgate House. This exquisite space has wooden panelling along the walls taken from a 16th-century Elizabethan hall. High Leigh used to be owned by Robert Barclay, a successful Christian banker who sold the house to Christian Conference Trust for a huge discounted price on the terms that it would be used to help ministry flourish. The Hayes has been serving Christian groups for over 100 years as a Christian conference venue.

4. Our staff

At Christian Conference Trust our staff mission statement is, “To welcome and serve all Christian communities, approaching them with warmth, understanding, patience and love" and we live by it. Each guest is important to us and we do everything to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
