Meeting rooms with character

November 2024

Bland white walls, the hum of fluorescent lights, and a view not worth writing home about. We just described a corporate hotel meeting room.

At our venues, you’ll worship in rooms that Christians worshipped in 100 years prior. You’ll pray together in meeting rooms that overlook stunning, award-winning grounds. You’ll meet with your team in boardrooms that boast 110-year-old original manorhouse woodwork.

What makes us different from other conference centres is our meeting rooms with character.

Library at Highgate House

Library is a boardroom at our Northamptonshire conference centre. This cosy meeting space is over 100 years old, decorated with original wooden panelling, a large fireplace, wooden ceiling beams, and as the name suggests, books. This is where Lt. Colonel Charles Eyre-Coote, a previous owner of Highgate House, would’ve put his feet up with a good book in front of the fire.

This exquisite meeting room looks like a scene from Narnia, making it a magical place to host a team meeting. You’ll enjoy the gorgeous views out into the Northamptonshire countryside and have access to the 55” flatscreen TV and sound bar.

Reading Room at The Hayes

On the ground floor of our Derbyshire conference centre, you’ll find the Reading Room. This bright meeting space has intricate woodwork, originally carved when this large manor house was built. You’ll find a large fireplace, classy white wooden panelling, huge windows, and plenty of seating space.

The Reading Room looks out onto beautiful grounds and a large Oak tree which has been standing for generations. You’ll find a large 70” flatscreen TV with a Facebook Portal and necessary HDMI cables.

Oak Room at High Leigh

The Oak Room seamlessly blends history with functionality. This room's striking wood panelling and lofty ceilings bring you back to its roots as part of Robert Barclay's family estate in the 19th century. Large windows fill the room with natural light, offering beautiful views of High Leigh's grounds—a perfect complement to moments of reflection and group discussion.

Equipped with modern AV equipment, such as a 70" flat-screen and HDMI connectivity, the Oak Room connects past elegance with present practicality. When you meet here, you're joining a legacy of Christian gatherings spanning over a century.

Rowan at Highgate House

Next to the Library lies the Rowan meeting room. Originally part of the estate’s mid-20th-century updates, Rowan offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside that stretch far beyond.

Along with its exquisite ceiling beams, historic furniture, and fireplaces, this boardroom provides a meeting environment like no other. With up-to-date AV capabilities and a peaceful setting, Rowan is an ideal space for collaboration and creativity.

The Boardroom at The Hayes

This space retains its intricate woodwork and sophisticated detailing dating back to the 1800s. Craftsmanship is evident in its ornate ceiling panels and carved fireplace. Along with a large boardroom table, there is additional seating within the bay window for intimate chats over a warm cup of coffee.

The Boardroom offers a stately yet welcoming environment, suitable for leadership meetings or strategic planning sessions. Complete with a 65” smart flat-screen TV, Facebook Portal and necessary HDMI cables, this room makes the perfect place to meet together.

Sycamore 4 at High Leigh

Sycamore 4, part of High Leigh’s modern Sycamore suite, provides a unique contrast to the venue's Victorian architecture. This room benefits from sleek, contemporary design while maintaining the elegance that defines High Leigh. Large windows open to the estate's beautiful gardens, ensuring that even the most focused meetings have a touch of inspiration from the outdoors.

With seating for up to 30 people and state-of-the-art facilities, including an 82” 4K TV with immersive surround sound, Sycamore 4 is a versatile choice for team workshops, prayer groups or church meetings.

Each meeting space at our venues tells a story, enhancing your gathering with character, inspiration, and purpose. Whether you’re brainstorming, praying, or simply reconnecting, our passion is to share beautiful meeting spaces to make this happen.
