Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide UK (JILC UK) is part of a global Christian family, rooted in the Philippines and founded by Eddie Villanueva, a former communist-atheist whose life was transformed when he found faith in 1973. With 13 churches across the UK and a predominantly Filipino congregation, JILC UK creates a welcoming community where believers are nurtured, encouraged, and guided to step into roles of service and leadership within the church.
The Challenge
A vital part of this journey is the church’s retreat program – a precious time away to seek God, grow deeper in faith, and build lasting friendships. However, finding the right venue to host these special moments wasn’t easy. With delegates travelling from different parts of the country, the venue needed to be central, accessible, and able to accommodate large numbers for two nights with full catering.
The Solution
Since 2008, The Trust’s High Leigh venue has been a home away from home for JILC UK’s retreats. The peaceful surroundings and distraction-free environment allow delegates to step away from everyday life and immerse themselves in worship and fellowship. The welcoming atmosphere, combined with spacious meeting rooms and beautiful grounds, creates the perfect setting for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
By taking care of practicalities like meals and accommodation, The Trust enables the church to focus entirely on creating life-changing experiences for their community. The warmth and dedication of the staff play a huge role in making each retreat memorable.
