CCT and The Salvation Army worked in partnership to provide a perfect welcome and facilities for 500+ More Than Gold mission team members during the Olympics. More Than Gold exclusively booked the sole use of High Leigh for mission teams to use as their base for during the Olympics.
David Willson, the Chief Executive of More Than Gold explained: “The challenge More Than Gold faced in welcoming over 1,600 mission team members from some 40 nations was immense. They came in teams, and at great sacrifice, to serve the churches as they reached out to their communities and to visitors. In return we wanted them to have the best experience possible, which is why our partnership with CCT and The Salvation Army was so important. This guaranteed the perfect welcome and facilities for teams who needed the rest and refreshment to give of their best”.
Mel Hart, the Special Events Manager at The Salvation Army adds: “Combining the great facilities of CCT with efficient event management from The Salvation Army was a winning combination to ensure that we were able to equip and facilitate this unique mission opportunity”.
