A guide to conference evening activities

Many think that the main focus of a conference is on the day's agenda packed with meetings and activities, but the evenings can be just as important for relaxing and creating a productive atmosphere.

Our venues have a fantastic range of social spaces available, they’re the perfect choice for organisations who want to get the most out of their conference. Perfect for icebreakers, mixers and networking events, these great rooms and social areas will help to ensure your event is a real success.

Icebreakers

On the first evening of a conference or event, a programme of icebreaking activities can help people to mingle outside their normal groups and ensure delegates begin to get to know each other.

Once they know each other by sight, your guests are much more likely to interact, increasing the potential of your event and make day two a much more relaxed environment where ideas can flow.

CCT venues have a choice of large, social spaces where you can host your icebreaking events, giving you and your delegates the chance to really get to know each other.

Networking

At the end of a productive but packed day, your delegates are likely to want to feel like they can relax, reflect and get revitalised for the next day. The evening during an overnight conference is also the perfect opportunity to do a bit of networking.

Dinners, drinks and other social events are great opportunities for delegates to socialise in a relaxed and natural setting. Both formal and casual events can work brilliantly, giving people the chance to really mingle with like-minded folk and build their relationships.

Our venues all include communal and bar spaces, perfect for your evening activities.

Relaxation

Though the evenings are perfect for meeting and socialising with fellow delegates, it’s also good to provide a space where they can relax, unwind and have a bit of quiet time.

Our venues have meditation and prayer spaces, ideal for delegates who need a little time to themselves at the end of a busy day.

From icebreaking events and communal dinners to casual drinks and relaxation, the evening sections of a conference are incredibly important and can contribute hugely towards the overall success of the event.
